The Topdon Phoenix Smart is a professional Diagnostic Tool at OE level, developed for professional automotive technicians and modern workshops working on a wide range of vehicles. The system is built around a powerful 10.1-inch tablet with a fast processor and a user-friendly Android 10 interface. Thanks to the extensive vehicle coverage, in-depth diagnostic capabilities, and support for complex online codings and programmings, this Diagnostic Tool is ideally suited for working on modern vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and secured gateways.

The diagnosis is performed via the wireless MDCI (Modular Diagnostics & Communication Interface), a VCI that supports the latest communication protocols, including CAN-FD and DoIP. This ensures a fast and stable connection with the vehicle. The license includes standard two years of free software updates, allowing the user to maintain access to the latest features and vehicle support. After this period, the device continues to operate with the last installed software, but an annual license is required to receive further updates and to use online functionalities.

• Topology Mapping: Visual representation of the communication structure between ECUs, providing quick insight into networks, interdependencies, and sources of faults.
• Read and Clear Fault Codes (DTCs): Reading of generic and manufacturer-specific fault codes, provided with technical descriptions. Codes can be cleared immediately after analysis.
• Live datastream: Real-time reading of data from sensors and actuators. The data can be displayed in text form, as a graph, or in a combined view for quick interpretation.
• Active Tests (bidirectional control): Direct control of vehicle components to test functions such as the fuel pump, cooling fan, EGR valve, or relay.

After the first year, the license can be renewed for an annual fee. The device remains fully functional for already supported models, even without license renewal. However, new software updates can no longer be installed, and some online features may be limited or no longer supported.
