The Autel MaxiCom MK900 is a powerful, wired automotive fault code reader, engineered for professional workshops and technicians requiring speed, stability and comprehensive functionality. As the successor to the successful MK808 series, the MK900 delivers a substantial upgrade in performance and software capacity. The tablet combines OE-level diagnostics, bidirectional control and a complete suite of maintenance functions, making the system highly versatile for everyday work on modern vehicles.
The system is built around a swift 8-inch Android 11 tablet, equipped with a powerful processor and enhanced memory for smooth workflow. Communication with the vehicle takes place via a wired OBD2 connection, ensuring an extremely stable data link – ideal for extended sessions and precise module coding. The MK900 supports modern protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, which are essential for diagnosing the latest generation vehicles. Upon purchase, one year of free software updates is included. After this period, the device continues to operate on the last installed version; an annual licence is required to maintain access to new updates and cloud features.
Diagnostic functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 offers comprehensive OE-level diagnostic functionality, suitable for more than 80 vehicle brands worldwide. Thanks to the stable wired connection, rapid hardware and support for modern protocols, the system is ideal for in-depth fault analysis and live data monitoring.
- Full system diagnosis (OE-level): Provides complete access to all electronic control units, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag (SRS), BCM, steering system, climate control, ADAS and more. Reads and clears fault codes with detailed technical descriptions.
- Active tests (bidirectional control): Send commands to actuators, valves or relays to test their operation directly. Examples include activating the fuel pump, testing air conditioning clutch engagement or controlling windows, locks or ventilation fans.
- AutoVIN / ScanVIN: Recognises the vehicle automatically via the chassis number (VIN), or allows the VIN to be scanned using the built-in 8 MP camera, enabling rapid and error-free vehicle identification.
- Live datastream: Displays real-time data from sensors and systems in text format, digital graph or analogue format. Supports selecting and comparing multiple datastreams simultaneously for focused analysis.
- Pre- and post-scan reports: Automatically creates a summary of the vehicle condition before and after service, including fault codes, module status and system descriptions. These reports are ideal for customer communication and workshop documentation.
Maintenance and service functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 supports more than 40 maintenance and reset functions, allowing essential vehicle systems to be calibrated, reset or relearned following service or replacement. These functions are suitable for a wide range of vehicle brands and are continuously expanded via software updates.
- Oil service reset (Service): Resets the service interval and service lamp following an oil change.
- Electronic parking brake (EPB): Release and initialisation of the electronic handbrake during brake service.
- Battery management system (BMS): Registers a new battery in the vehicle and optimises charging management.
- Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor following wheel alignment or replacement of steering components.
- Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): Performs forced regeneration of the soot filter and clears fault codes.
- ABS pump bleeding (ABS): Activates the ABS system to remove air from brake lines following repair.
- TPMS reset: Recognises new tyre pressure sensors and clears TPMS-related fault codes.
- Throttle body learning (ETC): Recalibrates throttle valve position following cleaning or replacement.
- Injector coding: Programmes new injectors into the ECU with the correct identification codes.
- Transmission adaptation (CVT): Resets learning data of automatic transmissions for improved shift performance.
- Crankshaft sensor learning (TEC): Recalibrates crankshaft sensor position following replacement or engine modifications.
- AdBlue reset: Clears warnings and level readings from the SCR system following refilling or service.
- Air suspension calibration: Calibrates ride height on vehicles with electronic air suspension.
- Headlight adjustment (AFS): Calibrates adaptive or cornering headlights following replacement or realignment.
- Start/stop settings: Enables or disables the automatic start/stop system based on preference or system status.
- Window and sunroof initialisation: Restores automatic functions of electric windows and sunroofs.
- Seat occupancy sensor (SRS): Calibrates passenger detection for correct airbag deployment.
- Transport mode: Places the vehicle into or out of transport mode for delivery, storage or factory settings.
- System language adjustment: Changes the language display of the vehicle's dashboard or infotainment system.
- Air/fuel ratio reset (A/F): Restores adaptive adjustment values following sensor or ECU replacement.
Cloud and reporting functions:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 features advanced cloud and communication functionality, making workshop processes more efficient and enabling remote support.
- Autel Cloud Report Management: All pre-scan and post-scan reports are automatically stored in Autel Cloud. This provides secure archiving, structured management of vehicle history and access to reports from any device with an internet connection.
- Easy sharing and printing: Reports can be shared directly from the tablet via email or printed wirelessly over Wi-Fi, without requiring additional software or hardware. Ideal for customer communication or insurance documentation.
- Remote Access (TeamViewer): Via the built-in TeamViewer functionality, remote technicians or Autel support staff can, with your permission, gain remote access to the device. This is particularly valuable for complex faults or when on-site support is not immediately available.
Additional features and special capabilities:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 is equipped with various modern features that make the system suitable for use on the latest vehicle platforms and for efficient workshop processes.
- Support for CAN-FD & DoIP: Thanks to support for CAN-FD and DoIP, the MK900 is fully compatible with the latest generation vehicles, including GM (from 2019), Volvo (from 2018) and BMW F/G series. This ensures fast, stable communication and future-proof vehicle diagnostics.
- FCA AutoAuth access: The MK900 provides authorised access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) of vehicles from Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep and Alfa Romeo. A valid AutoAuth account is required for this. With this feature, all diagnostic and maintenance tasks can be performed without restrictions.
- Wi-Fi printing function: Supports wireless printing via Wi-Fi, allowing diagnostic reports to be sent directly from the tablet to a compatible network printer. This streamlines customer communication and workshop documentation without requiring a PC.
Optional extensions and modules:
The Autel MaxiCom MK900 supports various accessories that extend functionality for specialist vehicle diagnostics and inspection applications.
-
Video inspection camera (Autel MV105/MV108): Fully compatible with the Autel MaxiVideo MV105 and MV108 inspection cameras, enabling visual inspections in hard-to-reach areas such as cylinder heads, intake ports, behind dashboards or inside wheel arches. Images are displayed directly on the MK900 screen for immediate assessment.
