The Topdon TopScan Pro is a compact reader in the form of a VCI dongle that transforms a smartphone or tablet (iOS/Android) into a diagnostic tool. The connection is established via Bluetooth 5.0, ensuring stable communication with the vehicle. This system supports more than 60 vehicle brands and performs a full system diagnosis on all present electronic control units. The license for updates and functionalities is included for 1 year.

In addition to the standard diagnostic functions, the TopScan Pro features bidirectional control, allowing components to be directly controlled for testing purposes. The device is equipped with 13 service functions for routine maintenance. Functionality can be further expanded with optional SGW licenses for secured vehicles from FCA and Renault. The integrated repair database provides technical support and manuals directly within the application.

• Read and clear fault codes: Reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from all available systems, such as the engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, and body.
• Live data functions: Displays real-time data from sensors and components in various views, including text, graphs, and merged data streams for detailed analysis.
• Actuator control (Bidirectional control): Sends commands to vehicle systems and components to test their operation. This can activate injectors, pumps, windows, or windshield wipers, for example.

Engine and drivetrain:

• Oil service and inspection reset: Resets the service message for oil and maintenance after a service.
• Throttle body learning: Resets the throttle control to the default settings.
• Injector coding: Programs new injector codes into the control unit after replacement.

Brakes:

• ABS brake system bleeding: Removes air from the ABS system to restore braking performance.
• Electronic parking brake reset (EPB): Deactivates and activates the EPB system for maintenance and calibrates the brake pads after replacement.

Exhaust systems:

• Diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF): Starts a forced regeneration of the DPF to remove blockages.

Steering system:

• Steering angle sensor initialization (SAS): Calibrates the steering angle sensor, which is necessary for systems like ESP.

• Battery reset (BMS): Registers a new Battery in the Battery Management System (BMS) after replacement.
