The Topdon Phoenix Smart update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the Phoenix Smart with one year. The Phoenix Smart is a ten-inch diagnostic tablet for cars and light commercial vehicles, using the separate MDCI Pro as interface and draws its vehicle coverage from a file that expands as the market evolves. The device programmes control units via the cloud across a wide range of European and Asian manufacturers, codes online and offline and unlocks hidden functions; to write to a control unit, a internet connection is required. With an active licence, that file remains current.
\nAn extension covers the vehicle coverage, the topology display and the cloud programming; according to the manufacturer, unlocking the Renault gateway also works only whilst the update period is current. No registration with a service desk is necessary, as you receive a code by email and activate the renewal yourself in the update menu from the Phoenix Smart. The serial number of the device is mandatory at the time of ordering. After expiry, the already installed software remains fully functional.
