The Topdon SGW Multi-Access Bundle is a combined authorization license with a validity period of 1 year. This license grants verified access to the secured diagnostic systems of vehicles equipped with Security Gateway (SGW). The bundle covers multiple manufacturers in a single license: FCA (Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Dodge, Ram), Renault, the VAG Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Škoda) and Nissan.
Technically, the license functions as a digital key. When the Topdon device connects to an SGW-protected ECU, an authentication request is sent via the internet to the Topdon server. This then communicates with the respective manufacturer's server to retrieve an access token. The token unlocks the gateway, enabling coding, customization and fault code clearing.

Applications and Features
The bundle activates authorization for multiple manufacturers. Each authorization is specifically designed to bypass the respective Security Gateway:
- FCA SGW access: Unlock the Security Gateway for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram). Required for bidirectional testing, coding, and calibration.
- Renault SGW access: Unlock the Renault Security Gateway, which blocks most diagnostic functions on vehicles after 2020 without official authorization. Full diagnostics and service resets now possible.
- VAG SFD/SGW access: Communication with VAG vehicles (VW, Audi, Seat, Škoda) with SFD (Schutz der Fahrzeugdiagnose) or SGW. Required for adjustments and coding in secured modules.
- Nissan SGW access: Access to gateway-protected systems on recent Nissan models — diagnostic capabilities that go beyond basic fault code reading.

- Renault Group: Vehicles requiring SGW unlock (post-2020).

How does it work in practice?
- Place your order: Enter during the checkout process the 12-digit serial number of your Topdon device.
- Digital activation: After purchase, the license will be activated remotely. Processing time: average 7 business days.
- Software update: Update your Topdon device software. The authorization will be loaded onto the tool via the update.
- Use in the workshop: Connect the device to an SGW vehicle. The tool automatically detects the security and uses the active license to gain access.
Provide the serial number
The 12-digit serial number of your Topdon device is required. Enter it correctly when placing your order. You can find the serial number on:
- Device housing: On a sticker on the back of the VCI interface or tablet.
- Software menu: Under 'About' or 'Info' in the diagnostic software settings.
- Original packaging: On the product box.
