The OBDSTAR IScan Polaris Multi is a tablet-form diagnostic tool specifically designed for diagnostics on Polaris series vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles. The system is based on a RK3128 quad-core processor and features a 5.0 inch capacitive touchscreen. The device supports extensive diagnostic functions, such as reading and clearing fault codes, displaying live data, and performing actuator tests. A license with 1 year of software updates is included upon purchase.
The IScan Polaris Multi offers a range of advanced features, including more than 25 service and maintenance procedures. Thanks to the Wi-Fi connectivity, software updates can be performed directly on the device. Additional functionalities include remote technical assistance and access to technical bulletins and help data. The device is operated via an Android 5.1.1 operating system.
Diagnostic functions:
The diagnostic tool offers the ability to perform a complete diagnosis of all electronic systems present in the vehicle.
- Read and clear fault codes: Reads and clears fault codes from all available control units, such as the engine, ABS, and instrument panel.
- Display freeze frame data: Shows the stored vehicle data at the moment a fault code was activated.
- Live data: Displays real-time data from sensors and components. The display is available in text, graph, and meter form.
- Record and playback data: Enables recording live data streams and analyzing them later.
- Actuator test: Directly controls components to check functionality.
- ECU information: Retrieves detailed information from the control unit, such as type and software version.
- Vehicle identification (VIN): Automatically identifies the vehicle via the chassis number.
Service and maintenance functions:
This diagnostic tool supports more than 25 service and maintenance functions. The availability of specific functions may vary depending on the vehicle's make, model, and year.
Engine and drivetrain:
- Set throttle position sensor (TPS): Calibrates the throttle position sensor after cleaning or replacement.
- Replace ECU: Configures the control unit and pairs it with the vehicle after replacement.
- Transmission control module adaptation (TCM): Resets the adaptive values of the transmission control module.
- Bleed fuel pump: Fills and bleeds the fuel system, for example after replacing the pump or filter.
- Bleed oil pump: Fills and bleeds the oil system after maintenance work.
- Learn wastegate: Calibrates the turbo wastegate actuator for correct boost pressure control.
- Learn exhaust valve: Calibrates the position of the exhaust valve.
- Adjust gear ratio: Configures the gear ratio in the ECU after adjustments.
