The OBDSTAR IScan BRP is a professional diagnostic tablet, specifically designed for diagnosing and maintaining BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) vehicles. The Diagnostic Tool is suitable for a wide range of models, including motorcycles, motorboats, personal watercraft (PWC), snowmobiles, ATVs, and SSVs. The system runs on an Android 5.1.1 operating system and comes with a 1-year update license.
The device offers a complete diagnosis of all electronic systems and supports functions such as reading live data in various formats (text, graph, meter), performing actuator tests, and executing advanced service functions. The iScan BRP can automatically identify vehicles based on the VIN and features a Wi-Fi connection for performing online updates.
Diagnostic functions:
The iScan BRP performs a full system diagnosis and supports the following functions for all present electronic control units.
- Read and clear fault codes: Reads and clears fault codes (DTCs) from all available modules, such as the engine control unit (ECM), the instrument panel, and the ABS module.
- Live data: Displays real-time data from sensors and components. The data can be shown in text format, as a graph, or as analog meters.
- Actuator control: Allows the user to control specific components and systems to test functionality, such as injectors, fans, or lamps.
- Vehicle identification: Automatically identifies the vehicle based on the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

This device supports more than 30 Service and maintenance functions. The available functions may vary depending on the specific brand, model, and year of the motorcycle or vessel.
Engine and drivetrain:
- Service reset: For resetting the maintenance interval after service.
- Throttle position reset (TPS): For recalibrating the throttle position sensor.
- Throttle valve and idle control adjustment: Calibration of the idle control and throttle valve actuator for proper operation.
- Engine control module (ECM) initialization: Performing the initial initialization of the engine control module, for example after replacement.
- Ignition and injection timing adjustment: Setting the timing for ignition and fuel injection.
- Reset supercharger maintenance: Resetting the maintenance indicator for the supercharger.
- Restart break-in procedure: Restarting the engine break-in mode.
- Adjust torque: Changing the settings for the engine torque.
- Connect dynamic power steering (DPS): Connecting or configuring the DPS module.
