The Topdon TopScan Moto 3-in-1 Cable Kit accessories is a physical expansion set for performing vehicle diagnostics on various motorcycle brands. The purpose of this cable set is to create a reliable connection between a standard 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic scanner and the brand-specific data ports of motorcycles. The set features adapter cables with the exact hardware pin-out for successfully routing K-line and CAN-bus communication signals from the engine control unit (ECU) to the tester.
When connected, the internal wiring mechanically and electrically converts the specific pin assignment of the vehicle connector to the standardized J1962 OBD2 connector. This enables reading, coding, and fault clearing with universal equipment. For motorcycle systems that do not supply 12V power via their own diagnostic port, the system uses a 3-pin adapter cable with integrated battery clamps. This draws operating voltage directly from the vehicle battery, ensuring a stable power supply for the diagnostic tester during active diagnostic processes.
