The Yamaha 4-pin OBD to 16-pin OBD2 adapter cable is developed to connect the vehicle-specific diagnostic port of Yamaha motorcycles with universal OBD2 diagnostic equipment. This adapter enables the physical connection between the 4-pin connector on the motorcycle and the standard 16-pin connector of a reader or interface.
The adapter cable facilitates signal transmission of the CAN-bus communication protocol used by modern Yamaha ECUs. The correct pin configuration establishes a stable connection, making technical data and fault codes accessible to diagnostic equipment normally intended only for cars or generic OBD2 applications.
