The OBDSTAR M019 is an Adapter Cable that converts a 6-pin KTM diagnostic connector to a 16-pin OBD2 connection (J1962). The cable is designed for use with OBDSTAR readers or programmers and enables diagnostics on KTM Motorcycles equipped with a 6-pin diagnostic connector. One end of the cable features a compact 6-pin connector fitting the vehicle side of KTM, and the other end has a standard 16-pin OBD2 plug for connection to the diagnostic device.
The adapter cable electrically converts the KTM-specific 6-pin signal to the OBD2 format, ensuring that the relevant diagnostic communication is correctly transmitted to the connected OBDSTAR device. Through this connection, fault codes and vehicle data can be read, and supported programming or calibration functions can be performed. The cable connection is passive — no active signal conversion or protocol translation takes place; the pins are physically connected according to the KTM pin assignment.

The M019 adapter cable supports the following diagnostic functions via a connected OBDSTAR device on KTM Motorcycles with a 6-pin diagnostic connector.
- Read fault codes: Through the connection, stored fault codes (DTCs) are read from the engine control unit of the KTM Motorcycle.
- Clear fault codes: After diagnosis, fault codes can be cleared from the control unit memory via the connected OBDSTAR device.
- Retrieve vehicle data: Reading live data and vehicle-specific parameter values such as sensor readings and driving conditions.
- Immobilizer functions: Support for key and transponder coding depending on the OBDSTAR device and the available software module for KTM.
