The OBDSTAR IScan BRP update licence extends your right to software updates for one year. The IScan is not a single device but a range, with each model dedicated to a single brand or segment. This licence applies to the OBDSTAR IScan BRP and maintains coverage of that specific device. What you receive are new model years, expanded service functions and corrections to existing software.
The licence is tied to the Serial number of your OBDSTAR IScan BRP, not to an account or code. We activate it within one working day on your device's Serial number. Once the term expires, your OBDSTAR IScan BRP will continue to work on the last installed version, but new software will no longer be added.

From order to updated device takes four steps. Allow for some download time if you have not updated for a year.
- Serial number: We need the Serial number of your OBDSTAR IScan BRP to link the licence; you will find it on the sticker on the back of the device and in the settings menu.
- Registration with the manufacturer: We register your serial number for the new period, usually within one working day.
