The Jaltest CV Truck Module is a specialized extension within the Jaltest diagnostic platform, focused on diagnosis of all truck brands. This module enables workshops to diagnose electronic systems with OE accuracy, read fault codes, analyze live data, and perform maintenance procedures — fully tailored to trucks.

The module uses the Jaltest Link VCI and the Jaltest SOFT CV software, activating only the truck brands and systems. This configuration provides a targeted solution for workshops focusing exclusively on truck diagnosis, without unnecessary functions for other vehicle categories. This increases efficiency, user-friendliness, and cost-effectiveness in daily workshop practice.

Diagnostic functions:

The Jaltest CV Truck Module offers comprehensive, brand-independent OE-level diagnosis for all electronic systems in commercial trucks. The main features include:

• Complete system diagnosis: automatically performs a full scan of all control units (ECUs) present in the vehicle and immediately detects fault codes per system.
• Read and clear fault codes: shows current, permanent, and sporadic fault codes with clear descriptions, including original OEM fault code numbers and explanatory details.
• Live data monitoring: records real-time values from sensors and parameters. Data can be displayed numerically and graphically, with the option to save measurements for later analysis.
• Actuator testing: directly controls individual components such as valves, relays, injectors, or electric actuators to verify their operation in real time.
• ECU and system information: provides access to technical data of control units, including part number, software version, serial number, and first installation data.

Maintenance, service, and calibration functions:

The Jaltest CV truck module offers a comprehensive package of maintenance, service, and calibration procedures specifically for trucks. These features are equivalent to, and often even more advanced than, the capabilities of brand-specific diagnostic equipment. They enable technicians to perform complete diagnostics and repair procedures fully independently and according to OE specifications.

Engine and exhaust gas aftertreatment:

• DPF service: supports forced, static, and dynamic regeneration of the diesel particulate filter, including reset of soot and ash values.
• SCR/AdBlue system service: diagnosis and maintenance of AdBlue pump, injector, and heater. Includes leak test, pressure check, and reset procedures.
• Injector coding: writes IMA, C2i, or C3i codes to the ECU for precise injection.
• Cylinder deactivation test: checks individual cylinder contributions to quickly locate mechanical defects.
• Compression test: software-driven test to assess the relative compression of the engine.
• EGR/throttle body learning: calibration after cleaning or replacement of the EGR valve or throttle body.
• VGT turbo test: tests the variable geometry turbo for response and range of motion.

Transmission and drivetrain:

• Interactive wiring diagrams: fully interactive electrical diagrams where components, wiring, and pin-outs are clickable. For each element, the corresponding measurement values, test procedures, and connection data are shown immediately.
• Vehicle technical data: access to a comprehensive database with all relevant vehicle data, including torque settings, fluid capacities, adjustment data and mechanical specifications.
• Repair guides per fault code: for each detected fault code, Jaltest offers a step-by-step repair guide, including cause and solution analysis, based on brand and vehicle data.
• Guided problem diagnosis per symptom: even without fault codes, the user can start with a symptom-based diagnosis, for example with complaints like "engine does not start", with guided test steps and logic.
• Maintenance data: provides insight into the maintenance schedule per vehicle model, including tasks, intervals, and required parts or fluids.
• Component locations and photos: shows detailed photos and location information of ECUs, sensors, and actuators for quick physical identification and approach in the vehicle.

Specialized software modules:

The Jaltest platform is modular and can be expanded with additional software modules that significantly enhance the functionality of the diagnostic device:

• Jaltest GRP (Garage Resource Planning): an integrated workshop management system that offers functions for customer management, work order scheduling, quotation preparation, repair history, and the automatic linking of diagnostic reports to the work order. This turns Jaltest into a complete CRM and workshop management platform.
• Jaltest ETM (Electronic Test Module): in combination with the optional ETM hardware can test electronic vehicle components outside the vehicle. This applies, among others, to ABS modulators, brake pedal sensors, pressure sensors and speed sensors, ideal for troubleshooting components with questionable operation.
• Jaltest Info: provides access to an extensive technical knowledge base with repair manuals, wiring diagrams, adjustment data, fault code explanations and technical bulletins per vehicle brand and type. This digital encyclopedia is fully integrated into the diagnostic environment.

The Jaltest CV-Truck module operates based on an annual software license specifically for trucks. This license provides full access to truck diagnostic functions within the Jaltest platform and includes:

• Access to technical support, including assistance with activations, license management, fault analysis, and updates.
