The Jaltest 74602003 is the update license for Jaltest Marine Inboard, the diagnostic module for inboard marine engines. This extends your current license for twelve months, for those who already have the Inboard module in use. We link the renewal to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With the renewal, you maintain twelve months of access to new software versions, including the engines, systems and features added that year. If you don't renew, diagnostics will continue to work on the last installed version: You won't lose your equipment, but you'll receive no new coverage. If you don't yet have the module, start with the software activation (74502003) and the first-year software license (74502015); this update license continues from the second year onward.

Applications and Features
Jaltest Marine Inboard is one of six marine variants. This update license keeps that variant active; what you do with it next depends on your vessel and the cable you use.
What the Inboard module covers
- Inboard marine engines: Engine management and associated propulsion systems onboard.
- Volvo Penta: EGCI engine control, via the OBD-M/Volvo Penta EGCI cable (JDC611A).
- Mercury: SmartCraft G3 systems, via cable JDC617A.
- Suzuki: Inboard connections from the Inboard cable set (70002009).
What you can do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify any fault codes.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access fault memory per control unit with detailed fault descriptions.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time while running or underway.
- Component Actuation: Selectively activate actuators to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring leading to it.
- Parameters and Calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
- Maintenance Resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert Mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't work.
What You'll Need
This update license is the renewal within a fixed package. The complete breakdown is shown below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on a PC.
- Software Activation (74502003): Purchased once, remains valid indefinitely.
- Software License Year One (74502015): The annual license for the first year.
- Update License (74602003): This product. Twelve months of renewal, from year two onwards.
- Diagnostic Cables: The Inboard Cable Set (70002009) with cables for Volvo Penta, Mercury and Suzuki, or individual cables per brand. Cables are not included.
If you also work on vessels, there's the Marine Vessel Activation (74502002); for those wanting all six marine variants under a single activation, choose Marine Complete (74502001). For wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures, there's INFO Plus. These modules are purchased separately.
