The Jaltest 29481 is the update licence for the Manufacturer module. It extends the module by twelve months on the serial number of your Jaltest Link. With the Manufacturer module, you select by the manufacturer of the system, as shown on the unit's type plate, rather than by vehicle make and model.
This helps with imports, older model years and converted and bodied vehicles built from components of different manufacturers. The module works within an active Modular Truck (293100) or Modular Bus (293300). If you do not extend the Manufacturer module, only that module is blocked; your Modular diagnostics continue to work.

Applications and functionality
Jaltest normally offers one route to a control unit: you select make, model and model year, and the software shows which systems belong to it. The Manufacturer module adds a second route alongside that. You start with the system manufacturer and select the system from there. This extension keeps that second route open.
When you need it
- Not in the list: Import or older model year.
- Conversion or bodywork: Various manufacturers.
- Type plate: You know which system is fitted.
- Selection gets stuck: System not found.

- Serial number: Enter the Link serial number in the comments field.
- Activation: We extend, usually within one working day.
- Confirmation: You receive the new expiry date by email.
- Updating: Retrieve the new version in Jaltest.
System manufacturers and applications
Your Modular licence determines this, not this module. Which units are available per manufacturer varies and depends on the Modular licence you hold. For Wabco, for example, this covers braking systems, safety systems, air suspension and tyre pressure.

The versions
Both versions have the same coverage. The difference lies in what you buy, not in what you can do with it.
- Software activation (29469): One-off purchase; the module remains yours.
- Update licence (29481): This product. Twelve months' extension, from the second year.
What you need
The Manufacturer module is an extension to your Modular diagnostics, not a standalone licence.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, including to start the software on a PC.
- An active Modular licence: Modular Truck (293100), Modular Bus (293300) or both.
- Software activation (29469): The initial purchase of the module.
- Adapter cables: Optional, per brand or system. Without a cable, you connect using the multi-pin set from your Jaltest case.
