The diagnostic functions and the expert mode remain operational after the license expires, based on the last installed software version.

How does it work in practice?

Activating your license is a simple and largely automated process. Follow the steps below to extend your software.

1. Place order: Add the update license to your shopping cart and complete the order.
2. Provide serial number: Enter the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface in the remarks field during checkout.
3. Registration check: We verify whether your Jaltest Link is registered on the AsTools platform. Without this link, we cannot activate the license.
4. Change distributor: If your device is not registered with us, you can fill in the Jaltest distributor change form and send it to us. We will then add your device to our platform.
5. Automatic processing: After confirmation of the registration, the license activation is automatically processed within 24 hours.
6. Update software: Once you connect the diagnostic device to the internet, the Jaltest software will detect the new license and display the available updates.

Serial number information

To activate the license correctly, the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface is required. This number consists of 9 characters and can be found in one of the following locations. Make sure to enter this number correctly in the remarks field when ordering.

• Interface: The serial number is listed on the sticker on the back or side of the Jaltest V9 Link.
• Settings menu: In the Jaltest software, you can find the serial number under the ‘Settings’ or ‘System information’ menu.
• Packaging box: The number is also on the original packaging of the diagnostic device.
