The Jaltest 74502011 is the software activation for Jaltest Marine Gasoline Engines, the diagnostic module for gasoline marine engines. It's a one-time purchase: The activation unlocks the Gasoline software on your Jaltest equipment and remains valid thereafter, with no expiration date. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With this activation alone you cannot yet diagnose. Jaltest requires three components: The Jaltest Link, the software activation, and also the software license for the first year (74502016). From the second year onwards, you'll continue with the update license (74602011). Gasoline Engines is one of six marine variants: If you want all marine segments at once, choose Marine Complete (74502001).

Jaltest Marine Gasoline Engines is one of six marine variants. This activation unlocks that variant; what you do with it next depends on your engine and the cable you use.
What the Gasoline module covers
- Gasoline marine engines: Engine management for gasoline engines onboard.
- Stationary marine gasoline engines: Control systems for permanently installed gasoline engines, accessed via the stationary engine cable kit (70002006).
What you can do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify where faults are registered.
- Read and clear fault codes: Extract fault memory from each control unit, with fault descriptions included.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real time while running.
- Component activation: Deliberately activate sensors and actuators to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in its wiring.
- Parameters and Calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system, for example after replacing a component.
- Service Resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert Mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't work.
What You'll Need
Jaltest requires three components to enable diagnostics.This activation is one of them; the complete setup is listed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, also to launch the software on a PC.
- Software Activation (74502011): This product. One-time purchase, remains valid.
- Software License Year One (74502016): The annual license you'll use for actual diagnostics.
- Update License (74602011): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic Cables: The cable set for stationary engines (70002006) with JDC217.9, JDC505A (CAT/Perkins), JDC528A (Volvo Penta 8-pin) and JDC538A (Yanmar), or individual cables per brand.
If you also work on diesel engines, there's the broader Marine Vessel Activation (74502002) for vessels. To get all six variants at once, choose Marine Complete (74502001). These activations are purchased separately.
