The Jaltest 50500010 is the clutch centering kit with which you secure the clutch plate aligns before you pressure plate The centering mandrel passes through the hub from the plate the pilot bearing into the flywheel and holds the plate centred there whilst you tighten the bolts in a cross pattern.
In the case you'll find two adjustable mandrels, with a working range of Ø36-48 mm and Ø42-53 mm, plus four centering bushes in Ø20, Ø25, Ø27 and Ø30 and four O-rings. The mandrel engages with its expanding segments on the hub bore; the bush determines the fit in the pilot bearing. The set weighs 3,300 grams.

Applications and features
Whoever tightens pressure plate whilst the clutch plate hangs misaligned, the gearbox will not fit on it afterwards: the input shaft cannot find the splines. The mandrel takes that work out of your hands by securing the plate on the shaft where the box will enter later. Below is what is in the case and how you use the size selects.
What's in the case
- Two centering mandrels: Adjustable, with expanding segments; working range Ø36–48 mm and Ø42–53 mm.
- Four centering bushes: Loose bushes in Ø20, Ø25, Ø27 and Ø30.
- Four O-rings: Rubber rings that hold the expanding segments in place.
- Storage case: Plastic case with shaped recesses, marked 50500010.
How to use them
- Centring the plate on a single-disc clutch: Mandrel through the hub, bush in the pilot bearing, then tighten the pressure group.
- Building up a double-disc clutch: Both plates and the intermediate plate remain in alignment during assembly.
- Holding the plate in place: You have both hands free for the bolts instead of for the plate.
- Sliding the gearbox in without any movement: The splines are where they should be, so the shaft slides in smoothly.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The hub bore and pilot bearing are what matter, not the make. The mandrel must fit in the hub of the clutch plate, and the bush in the internal diameter of the pilot bearing or the guide bush in the flywheel. Both dimensions are marked with a calliper to be checked before ordering.
Working range of the mandrels:
- Centering mandrel 1: Ø36-48 mm hub bore.
- Centering mandrel 2: Ø42-53 mm hub bore.
Dimensions of the centering bushes:
- Ø20: Smallest fit size in the pilot bearing.
- Ø25: Intermediate size.
- Ø27: Intermediate size.
- Ø30: Largest fit size in the pilot bearing.
