The VT01183 is a 17-piece universal clutch alignment tool kit, designed for precise centering of the clutch disc in relation to the flywheel bearing. The set includes an extensive selection of adapters and bushings, making it suitable for a wide range of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles that have no pilot bearing in the crankshaft.
The operation is based on a combination of tapered centering bushings and crankshaft adapters. The centering bushing is placed in the hub of the clutch disc, and the adapter fits into the flywheel bearing. By inserting the 145 mm long centering shaft through both components, the clutch disc is positioned exactly in the center of the crankshaft — which simplifies transmission installation.
