The VT01183 is a 17-piece universal clutch alignment tool set, designed for accurately centering the clutch plate relative to the flywheel bearing. The set includes a comprehensive selection of Adapters and bushes, making it suitable for a wide range of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles that do not have a top bearing in the crankshaft.
The operation is based on a combination of conical centering bushes and crankshaft Adapters. The centering bush is placed in the hub of the clutch plate, while the Adapter fits into the flywheel bearing in the crankshaft. By inserting the 145 mm long centering shaft through both parts, the clutch plate is positioned exactly in the center of the crankshaft, which simplifies the assembly of the gearbox.
Application and functionality:
This tool set is used for aligning the clutch plate in vehicles with a flywheel bearing. The set ensures that the input shaft of the gearbox can slide smoothly into the clutch and the bearing.
- Alignment of the clutch plate: Precisely centers the clutch plate relative to the crankshaft before the pressure plate is secured. This prevents damage to the clutch components and the gearbox during assembly.
- Universal compatibility: Thanks to the eight different crankshaft Adapters and eight conical centering bushes, the set is usable for most common vehicle models without a top bearing.
