The Jaltest 293300 is the software activation for Jaltest Modular Bus, the modular diagnostic solution for buses and coaches. With Modular, you purchase diagnostics by vehicle type rather than as a complete package. It's a one-time purchase that includes the first year of use. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With this activation alone, you cannot yet diagnose vehicles. You'll also need the Jaltest Link and the cable set for trucks and buses (29362). Unlike the other modules, there is no separate software license required: the first year is included with this activation. From the second year onwards, you renew with the update license (29051300). If you also want to access manufacturer systems, add the Manufacturer Module (29469); this requires Modular Truck or Bus. If you add INFO Plus for Modular (70605043), you do so for as many modular licenses as your equipment has.

Applications and Features
Jaltest Modular Bus is the bus module within the modular system. This activation unlocks that module; what you do with it next depends on the vehicle and the cable you use.
What the module covers
- Buses and coaches: The vehicles and control units that Jaltest includes in Modular Bus.
- This vehicle segment only: Trucks (293100), trailers (293500), and light commercial vehicles (293600) each have their own Modular license.
- Navigation by system manufacturer: Available when you add the Manufacturer Module (29469).
What you can do
- System scan: Display all available control units and identify where faults are present.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory for each control unit, complete with fault descriptions.
- Measurement values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real time.
- Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring leading to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
- Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
What you'll need
To diagnose with Modular Bus, you'll need more than just this activation. Here's the complete setup.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to launch the software on a PC.
- Software activation (293300): This product. One-time purchase, including the first year of use.
- Update license (29051300): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: The cable set for trucks and buses (29362), available separately.
Optionally expand with INFO Plus for Modular (70605043) for wiring diagrams and guided repair workflows, and with the Manufacturer Module (29469), which lets you navigate by system manufacturer instead of vehicle brand. These modules are purchased separately; INFO Plus is licensed for as many modular licenses as your equipment has.
