The Autel MaxiAP AP200 is a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter that you use with the MaxiAP200 app on your smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android). All OBD2/EOBD functions are free for every brand. In addition, you receive 1 car brand of your choice with full system diagnostics and up to 19 service functions.
The adapter weighs 35 grams and works with Bluetooth 4.2 up to approximately 10 metres. With AutoVIN, the app recognises the car. You create PDF reports, and the app stores previous vehicles. When purchased via AsTools, you receive a lifetime licence for the OBD2 functions and your chosen brand. Additional brands are purchased in the app.

The AP200 is designed for DIY enthusiasts and small garages that mainly work with one brand and also want to read OBD2 on other cars. Below is what the device can do.
Diagnostics for the chosen brand
- AutoVIN: Automatically recognises the car.
- All systems: Read and clear fault codes, for example ABS and airbag.
- Live data: Current values from sensors and systems.
OBD2/EOBD for every brand
- Fault codes: Stored and pending codes, with freeze frame.
- I/M Readiness: The status of the emission monitors.
- Live data: Current PID values of the engine.
- On-board monitor: Results of the monitor tests.
- Component test: Activate systems where the vehicle allows it.
- Vehicle info: VIN, calibration ID and CVN.
App
- History: Reopen previous vehicles.
- Reports: Share or print repair reports as PDF.
- Data Logging: Send a session to Autel Support.

How to use it
- Install the app: Install the MaxiAP200 app via the App Store or Google Play.
- Account: Create an Autel ID or log in.
- Pairing: Plug the adapter into the OBD port and pair it via the QR code.
- Claim brand: Choose your free car brand in the Mall.
- Diagnostics: Let AutoVIN recognise the car and start the scan.
Service and maintenance functions
For the chosen brand, according to Autel, the AP200 supports up to 19 service functions. Which function works differs by brand, model and model year.
Engine and exhaust
- Oil reset: Reset the maintenance interval after service.
- Throttle body learning: Relearn the throttle valve after cleaning or replacement.
- DPF: Start a regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.
- Injector coding: Program new injectors.
Brakes and chassis
- EPB: Open the brake calipers for brake pad replacement.
- ABS bleeding: Remove air from the brake system.
- Steering angle sensor (SAS): Calibrate the sensor after wheel alignment.
- TPMS: Reset the tyre pressure monitoring system.
Electrical and comfort
- Battery registration (BMS): Register a new battery.
- Start interrupter (IMMO): Key functions via the service menu.
- Adaptive headlights (AFS): Readjust the headlights.

When purchased via AsTools, you receive a lifetime licence for the OBD2 functions plus one car brand of your choice. This is how the MaxiAP licence model works:
- Always free: All OBD2/EOBD functions, for every brand.
- 1 brand of your choice: After the first pairing, claim one brand free of charge in the Mall; this always remains valid.
- Additional brands: Purchase in the MaxiAP200 app; the price per brand is listed in the Mall.
- Validity of additional brands: A purchased brand is valid for 1 year and can be extended afterwards.
- Firmware: Update via VCI management in the app.
