The OBDSTAR M084 is the adapter cable for the round 4-pin Scania diagnostic port. The cable connects that port to the 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-connector on your OBDSTAR device and plugs into the vehicle's factory diagnostic port on the truck.
Scania fitted its own round 4-pin port on these vehicles instead of a standard OBD2 connector. This port carries the K-line, the communication protocol used by older Scania-diagnostic systems. The cable itself performs no signal processing: it provides only the mechanical and electrical connection between the two connector types. What you access through this cable is the vehicle's engine management system. Which fault codes and live data you can read out depends on the software of your own OBDSTAR device; the cable adds no vehicle coverage.

The years overlap: when a series changes, the manufacturer may have switched, so check the connector in the cab if in doubt. Only vehicles with petrol or diesel engines are applicable.
