The OBDSTAR M005 adapter cable is specifically designed to establish a diagnostic connection with Kawasaki motorcycles. This cable features a combined configuration on the vehicle side with both a 4-pin and a 6-pin connector, allowing direct connection to the diagnostic port of various Kawasaki motorcycle generations. On the other side, the cable is equipped with a universal 16-pin OBD2 connector for linking to diagnostic equipment.
This adapter cable enables communication between the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the diagnostic interface by converting model-specific protocols to the standard pin layout. The adapter supports both the older KDS protocol via the 4-pin connector and the modern CAN-bus communication common in models with Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards via the 6-pin connector. The design guarantees reliable signal transmission during fault code reading and live data monitoring.
