The OBDSTAR M038 connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector from MV Agusta to a standard 16-pin OBD2 port (J1962). The compact assembly comprises two separate connector sections that establish the link between the motorcycle and OBDSTAR diagnostic hardware.
MV Agusta uses a 4-pin vehicle-specific diagnostic port on the relevant models. The cable translates this to the universal OBD2 format recognised by OBDSTAR equipment; diagnostic protocols such as K-line are passed through unchanged. The cable functions as a passive signal bridge — all data processing occurs in the connected device. This gives you access to the control units connected to that port. What you can subsequently read or clear depends on your software licences and the capabilities of your own equipment.

- Read fault codes: Retrieve stored diagnostic trouble codes from the control units and display them on your device.
- Clear fault codes: Delete present diagnostic trouble codes, provided your software licence supports this function.
- Request live data: Monitor real-time sensor values and system parameters while the engine is running.
- Address control units: Use the signal connection between the 4-pin port and the OBD2 interface to communicate with the available control units.
