The OBDSTAR M024 adapts the 3-pin diagnostic connector on SYM motorcycles to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) socket. The 3-pin side connects to the motorcycle's factory connector, whilst the OBD2 side plugs into your OBDSTAR diagnostic device.
SYM motorcycles fitted with this connector lack a built-in OBD2 port. The cable routes the diagnostic lines — including the K-line — to the correct pins on the OBD2 connector, enabling the diagnostic tool to interpret vehicle communication correctly. No modifications to the vehicle's wiring are required. The cable establishes the connection to the engine system; actual diagnostics come from the OBDSTAR motorcycle software on your device. Without that software, vehicle communication cannot be established.
