The OBDSTAR M048 is the adapter cable for the 8+8-pin diagnostic port found on Aprilia and Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The cable features a Y-split with two 8-pin connectors on the vehicle side, terminating in a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector for your OBDSTAR diagnostic device.
The connector layout on this motorcycle platform is non-standardised: both 8-pin connectors must be used together to fully access the diagnostic port. The pins are internally mapped to the correct positions on the OBD2 plug, ensuring proper transmission of the K-line and power supply lines. The connector housings comply with the factory specifications of both manufacturers. Once connected, the device communicates with the motorcycle's ECU. What you can subsequently do — read data, clear codes or reprogram — depends on your own device's software.
