The OBDSTAR Converter V2 is an interface adapter that sits between your OBDSTAR device's main OBD2 cable and the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic connector (J1962) on the vehicle. On the vehicle side, the adapter plugs directly into the J1962 port; on the device side, your existing main cable connects to it.
The adapter exists because certain vehicle modules require non-standard pin configurations during key programming and immobilizer procedures. The Converter V2 remaps those pins, allowing OBDSTAR software to communicate with the relevant module. The housing is marked Converter V2, identifying this second-generation adapter.
The adapter establishes the correct signal connection only. Whether a procedure can actually be performed depends on your device's vehicle menu — the adapter doesn't add models or functions on its own.
