The OBDSTAR Toyota 30-pin IMMO to 16-pin OBD2 adapter cable is a specialized connection cable that converts the proprietary 30-pin IMMO connector of certain Toyota and Lexus models to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) diagnostic connector. The cable enables access to vehicles with 4A-, 8A-8A-, or 8A-89-type immobilizer boxes without removing the dashboard housing or instrument panel. The cable is exclusively compatible with OBDSTAR readers or programmers.

The adapter cable connects the vehicle’s IMMO connector directly to the OBD2 port of the OBDSTAR device, granting the device access to the vehicle’s immobilizer bus line. Through this connection, functions such as proximity key programming (even with total key loss, without a PIN code) and odometer calibration on specific dashboard types including H7F/JD1401, H7F/JD1441, and H7F/JD1442 can be performed. The cable also supports I2CA-, I2BA-8A-, and I2BA-89 proximity key programming via the S8JXXX series, with no PIN code required.

  • Proximity key programming (with existing key): Adds an additional proximity key to the vehicle via the IMMO connector without entering a PIN code.
  • Proximity key programming for total key loss: Programs a new proximity key when all original keys are missing, without requiring a PIN code, on 4A-, 8A-8A-, 8A-89-, I2CA-, I2BA-8A-, and I2BA-89-systems.
  • Odometer calibration (H7F/JD1401): Adjusts the odometer on the H7F/JD1401 dashboard type via direct connection to the IMMO bus line.
  • Odometer calibration (H7F/JD1441): Performs odometer adjustment on the H7F/JD1441 dashboard type.
  • Odometer calibration (H7F/JD1442): Performs odometer adjustment on the H7F/JD1442 dashboard type.
