The Jaltest 71502018 is the software license for Jaltest CV, the diagnostic module for commercial vehicles. The license runs for twelve months and gives you the right to use the CV module during that period. You'll need the software activation (29303) to go with it: you purchase this once and it remains valid indefinitely. We link the license to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
For twelve months, you'll work with the complete CV module and receive all new software versions that Jaltest releases during that period, including the vehicles, systems and features added that year. This is what sets it apart from the activation, which by itself doesn't unlock anything. If you purchase an additional module while this license is active, the new license will be aligned with your existing one: you pay only the remaining days until the expiration date, calculated on a pro-rata basis, so all your modules expire on the same date. After these twelve months, you continue with the update license (29051).

Applications and Features
This license gives you twelve months of access to Jaltest CV, the commercial vehicle diagnostic module. What you can do with it in your workshop depends on the vehicle and the cable you're using.
What the CV module covers
- Trucks and tractors: Engine management, brake systems, transmissions, body electronics and exhaust aftertreatment of common European and Asian brands.
- Trailers and semi-trailers: EBS and ABS systems from manufacturers including Wabco, Knorr-Bremse and Haldex.
- Buses: Drivetrain, door and body systems and air suspension.
- Light commercial vehicles: The van segments that Jaltest includes within CV.
- Refrigeration units: Transport refrigeration systems such as Thermo King and Carrier.
What you can do
- System scan: Display all control units present and identify any fault codes.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory for each control unit, with detailed fault descriptions.
- Live data and sensor readings: Request sensor values and monitor them in real time while the vehicle is running or being driven.
- Component actuation: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in its wiring.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers for each system.
- Service resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.
- Expert mode: Manually select a control unit when automatic selection doesn't apply.
What you'll need
Jaltest requires three components to perform diagnostics. This annual license is one of them; the complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, and also needed to launch the software on your PC.
- Software activation (29303): One-time purchase, valid indefinitely. The license won't work without this activation.
- Software license first year (71502018): This product. Twelve months.
- Update license (29051): From the second year onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: Available per vehicle brand or system, individually or as cable sets.
You can optionally expand with INFO Plus (70605005) for wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures, with OEM RMI for factory documentation from DAF, Iveco or Scania, and with ADAS, Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics or SGW unlock. These modules are purchased separately and each requires its own license.
