The Jaltest 293500 is the software licence for Jaltest Modular Trailer, the modular diagnostic solution for trailers and semi-trailers. With Modular, you purchase the software and first year of use together: you acquire the module once and use it for twelve months straight away.
This licence alone does not allow you to diagnose. You will also need the Jaltest Link and the trailer cable kit (70002024). With Modular, you select diagnostics by vehicle type rather than for the entire segment. From the second year onwards, you extend coverage using the update licence (29051500).

Applications and functionality
Jaltest Modular Trailer is the trailer module within the modular system. This licence unlocks that module. What you do with it subsequently depends on the vehicle and the cable you use.
What you can do with it
- System scan: View all control units present and see where faults are logged.
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with fault descriptions.
- Measured values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time.
- Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
- Maintenance resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.

What you need
To diagnose with Jaltest Modular Trailer, you need more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
- Software licence (293500): This product. The module with the first year of use included.
- Update licence (29051500): Twelve months renewal, from the second year onwards.
- Trailer cable kit (70002024): Includes the cables JDC103A, JDC108A and JDC110A. Available separately.
Optional add-ons
- INFO Plus for Modular Trailer (70605043): Wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures. Each modular licence has its own INFO Plus.
- Manufacturer Module (29469): Select by system manufacturer instead of vehicle make. You select, for example, Wabco and then the system, such as brakes, air suspension, TPMS or safety systems. This is useful for conversions and custom builds and for vehicles not in the model catalogue. The module supports thirty-eight system manufacturers.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.
- Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
- We activate: We link the licence to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
- Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
- Update software: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and download the module; then Modular Trailer appears in the start menu.
