The Jaltest 293100 is the software licence for Jaltest Modular Truck, the modular diagnostics solution for heavy-duty vehicles. With Modular, you purchase the software and first year of use in one: you acquire the module once and use it immediately for twelve months.

This licence alone will not enable diagnostics. You will also need the Jaltest Link and a minimum of two Truck Select licences per manufacturer. With Modular, you purchase diagnostics per vehicle type rather than for the entire segment. From the second year onwards, you renew using the update licence (29051100).

POINTS TO NOTE

✕From the second year onwards, you require the update licence (29051100); if you do not renew, the module becomes locked.
✕This licence activates the platform. You purchase a separate Truck Select licence per heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer, with a minimum of two brands.
✕The software requires registration every six months, even when the licence is still active. If registration is not completed, the software will be blocked.
✕Please provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when placing your order; without that number we cannot activate the licence.

Applications and functionality

Jaltest Modular Truck is the heavy-duty vehicle module within the modular framework. This licence activates that module. What you do with it subsequently depends on the vehicle and the adapter cable you use.

What you can do with it

  • System scan: View all control units present and see where faults are logged.
  • Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory per control unit, with fault descriptions.
  • Measured values and live data: Request sensor readings and monitor them in real-time.
  • Component control: Activate actuators selectively to determine whether a fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring to it.
  • Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform the calibration procedures that Jaltest offers per system.
  • Maintenance resets: Reset service and maintenance intervals.

Jaltest covers forty-six heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers in this module. You unlock them per manufacturer with a Truck Select licence, so you pay only for the brands that actually come through your workshop.

What you need

To perform diagnostics with Jaltest Modular Truck, you require more than this product. The complete setup is detailed below.

  • Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, even to start the software on a PC.
  • Software licence (293100): This product. The module with the first year of use included.
  • Truck Select licence per manufacturer: Minimum of two heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers.
  • Update licence (29051100): Twelve months' renewal, from the second year onwards.
  • Adapter cables, only if required: Heavy-duty vehicles have a 16-pin diagnostic connector; only with older models is an adapter necessary.

Optional add-ons

  • INFO Plus for Modular Truck (70605043): Wiring diagrams and guided repair procedures. Each modular licence has its own INFO Plus.
  • Manufacturer Module (29469): Select by system manufacturer instead of vehicle make. You select, for example, Wabco and then the system, such as brakes, air suspension, TPMS or safety systems. This is useful for conversions and custom builds and for vehicles not in the model catalogue. The module supports thirty-eight system manufacturers.
💡
Important to note: When your licence expires, the module becomes locked until you purchase the update licence (29051100). If you renew within fifteen days of the expiration date, the new period runs from that expiration date; after that, it begins on the renewal date.

How does it work in practice?

From order to working module there are four steps. The serial number of your Jaltest Link is all you need to find yourself.

  1. Provide the serial number: Include the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the notes field when you place your order; this is required.
  2. We activate: We link the licence to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
  3. Confirmation by email: You will hear from us as soon as the module is on your serial number.
  4. Update software: Launch Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the module; Modular Truck will then appear in the start menu.
