The Jaltest (71502008) | Knorr-Bremse software activation is a one-time activation that links the Knorr-Bremse module permanently to the Jaltest Link V9 interface. After activation, the module remains permanently visible in the software and is not transferable to another interface. The activation itself does not directly provide usage capabilities but forms the basis for adding the Knorr-Bremse module to your existing Jaltest configuration.
To keep the software operational and actually use it, a valid software license is required. This license provides access to software updates, the most current system coverage, additional features, and technical support. Without a license, the Knorr-Bremse module remains visible in the software but cannot be used for diagnostic or maintenance functions. License activation usually takes 24 to 48 hours and occurs automatically after ordering.

With the Jaltest Knorr-Bremse module, combined with a valid license, the user has diagnostic and maintenance functions focused on Knorr-Bremse brake systems.
- Read and clear fault codes: reading and deleting DTCs in electronic Knorr-Bremse systems.
- Live data and parameters: reading and analyzing parameters such as air pressure, sensor values, and status information.
- Actuator tests: performing component and system tests such as valves, sensors, and control units.
- Maintenance resets and calibrations: performing resets and calibrations of brake systems and related modules.
- Technical information: access to diagrams, manuals, and maintenance information specific to Knorr-Bremse systems.

License information:
For the activation of the Jaltest Knorr-Bremse software module, the serial number (SN) of the Jaltest Link V9 interface is necessary. This number must be provided in the comments field when ordering.
- Jaltest Link (interface): sticker with “SN:” on the back or underside of the unit.
- Jaltest software: via Configuration → Hardware/Link → Information.
- Packaging box: sticker with serial number on the original product packaging.
