The Jaltest 71502008 is the software activation for Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics in standalone configuration, the diagnostic module for Knorr-Bremse brake systems in trucks and trailers. It's a one-time purchase: The activation unlocks the Knorr-Bremse software on your Jaltest equipment and remains valid thereafter, with no expiration date. We link the activation to the serial number of your Jaltest Link and activate it within one business day after your order.
With this activation alone, you cannot yet perform diagnostics. You'll need a Jaltest hardware kit, which includes the Jaltest Link as the diagnostic interface. This standalone configuration does not include a separate software license for the first year; from the second year onwards, you keep the module active with the update license (71602011). If you want to combine Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics with Jaltest, you'll need a product upgrade to the Add-on configuration (71502007).

Applications and Features
Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics is the module for Knorr-Bremse brake systems. This activation unlocks that module in standalone mode; what you can do with it depends on your vehicle and the cable you use.
What the Knorr-Bremse module covers
- Trucks: Knorr-Bremse brake systems, according to Knorr-Bremse specifications.
- Trailers: Knorr-Bremse ABS and EBS control systems on trailers and semi-trailers.
- Cable connections: JDC103A (Wabco and Knorr-Bremse), JDC111A (KB4-TA Trailer ABS), JDC220A (KB EBS 5) and JDC305A (KB ABS6, ABS24 and EU12).
- Languages: English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, French, Polish, Turkish, Czech, Dutch and Hungarian.
- Outside the module: General vehicle coverage from Jaltest CV and Modular is not included.
What you can do
- System scan: Identify connected Knorr-Bremse control units and see where faults are present.
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory per control unit, complete with fault descriptions.
- Live measurements and data: Retrieve sensor readings and monitor them in real time while the vehicle is running or in operation.
- Component activation: Directly trigger ABS and EBS modules to determine whether a fault originates in the component itself or in the wiring leading to it.
- Parameters and calibrations: Write settings and perform calibration procedures that the module offers per system, for example after replacing a component.
What you'll need
This standalone operation requires a Jaltest hardware kit. This activation is one component of it; the complete setup is detailed below.
- Jaltest hardware kit with Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, also to launch the software on a PC.
- Software activation (71502008): This product. One-time purchase, valid indefinitely.
- Update license (71602011): From year two onwards, for continuous access and new software versions.
- Diagnostic cables: Per system, such as JDC103A, JDC111A, JDC220A or JDC305A.
If you want to use Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics alongside Jaltest diagnostics, you can do so via the Add-on configuration (71502007); switching from this standalone version requires a product change. The add-on is purchased separately.
