The Cojali 2260135 is a 24V spiral cable that connects a 15-pin plug (ISO 12098) to two 7-pin plugs: a Type N (ISO 1185, black) and a Type S (ISO 3731, white). Cojali has wired it with the pin assignment for Mercedes-Benz.

You use the cable between a tractor unit with a 15-pin socket and a trailer with the 7-pin sockets 24N and 24S. The Cojali catalogue also lists it as an optional cable for the Jaltest PTE, the test device for power and signals between tractor unit and trailer.

HIGHLIGHTS

✔In addition to lighting, fog lights and reversing light, the cable also connects pins 12 and 15 of the 15-pin plug, so that the Mercedes-specific signals reach the 7-pin plugs.

✔The black 24N and the white 24S plugs can be told apart by colour, so you can connect them correctly in one step.

✔The permanent +24 V from pin 9 goes to pin 4 and pin 6 of the 24S, so that both power pins on the trailer receive voltage.

✔With a maximum length of 4.5 m and an operating temperature of -40 to 80 °C, the cable is suitable for daily outdoor use.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕The pin assignment is matched to Mercedes-Benz; the version for Iveco is 2260136 and the general version is 2260108.

✕Pins 10, 11, 13 and 14 of the 15-pin plug are not connected through.

✕For the EBS/ABS connection you also need a cable with ISO 7638, such as the 2260113.

✕For 24V systems only; the cable is not intended for 12V trailers.

Good to know: The three 15-pin to 2x 7-pin cables differ only in pin assignment. The 2260108 leaves pins 10 through 15 unconnected, the 2260136 also connects pins 10, 11 and 12, and the 2260135 connects pins 12 and 15. The Type N is black, the Type S white.
