The Autool AS503 is a motor oil tester that analyzes the quality of lubricating oil. The device uses an optical sensor to measure the light transmittance of the oil, determining the degree of contamination and aging. In addition to quality analysis, the tester also measures the oil temperature in real time, providing a complete picture of the motor oil condition. The results are displayed on a clear digital display.
This tester is equipped with a flexible probe of 800 mm, made from oil- and oxidation-resistant PTFE material. The 2.8-inch HD screen with backlight ensures clear readability under various lighting conditions. The device has specific test modes for both gasoline and diesel engines and provides a recommendation based on the measurement, such as "continue use" or "replace immediately."
Application and functionality:
The AS503 uses an optical principle to analyze the particle content in motor oil. The measurement provides an indication of the remaining life of the oil and helps determine the correct replacement time.
- Oil quality analysis: Measures light transmittance to assess the condition of the oil and displays the results as a percentage (0–100%).
- Temperature measurement: A built-in temperature sensor displays the current temperature of the motor oil on the screen.
- Dual test mode: Offers separate settings for testing motor oil in gasoline and diesel vehicles for more accurate analysis.
- Direct feedback: The screen shows an analog bar graph and a clear indication (OK or X) for quick interpretation of the results.
Compatible systems and Application:
This instrument is designed to check the condition of the lubricating oil in combustion engines. It is not suitable for motor oils containing specific additives such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), organic molybdenum, or graphene.
