Topdon BT600 | Battery Tester

The Topdon BT600 is a battery tester designed for analyzing the condition of 12V and 24V lead acid batteries. This device can test a wide range of battery types, including regular Lead Acid (Flooded), AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, EFB, and GEL. The measurement range for Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) is from 100 to 2000A. The tester is equipped with a 3.5-inch color screen for clear display of test results and features reverse polarity protection to prevent damage to the battery or device.

The BT600 features an integrated thermal printer, allowing test reports to be printed directly. Besides a standard battery test, the device also performs a start test (cranking test) and a charging system test. The results of these tests can be stored and reviewed later. Operation is via physical buttons below the screen, and the tester is powered by the vehicle's battery itself.

Application and functionality:

The BT600 is developed for testing the battery and related electrical systems in vehicles. The functionalities include:

• Battery test: Analyzes the state of the battery (State of Health, SOH) and the charge status (State of Charge, SOC), and displays the internal resistance and the CCA value.
• Start test (Cranking test): Measures the minimum starting voltage and time during engine start to assess the condition of the starting system.
• Charging system test: Evaluates the operation of the alternator and voltage regulator by measuring the charging voltage under different conditions (no load and load).
• Built-in printer: Enables printing test results directly on thermal paper for documentation or handing to customers.
• Datareview: The ability to review stored test results on the device.

• AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) Flat Plate: A type of sealed lead acid battery where the electrolyte is absorbed in a fiberglass mat.

• EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery): An improved version of the standard wet battery, often used in vehicles with start-stop systems.
• GEL: A sealed lead acid battery where the electrolyte is bound in a gel mass.
