The Autool BT460 is a battery tester that uses conductivity technology for the analysis of 12V and 24V battery systems. The tester is designed to measure the status of the battery, the starting and charging system of a vehicle. The device has an operating voltage range of 8V to 30V and supports various battery types, including AGM, EFB, GEL, and standard lead-acid batteries.
The BT460 is equipped with a 2.8-inch color screen that displays test results such as State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC). In addition to the standard battery test, the device also performs a start test, charge test, and a load test. Features such as ripple analysis of the charging system and reverse polarity protection are integrated.
Application and functionality:
This battery tester offers various test modes for an analysis of the battery system.
- Battery test: Checks the overall condition of the battery, including SOH (State of Health), SOC (State of Charge), and internal resistance.
- Start test: Analyzes the battery's starting power by measuring the minimum voltage during engine start.
- Charge test: Evaluates the operation of the vehicle's charging system, such as the alternator, under various loads.
- Load test: Measures battery performance under a simulated maximum load to assess stability.
- Ripple analysis: Detects voltage fluctuations (ripple) in the charging system that may indicate problems with the alternator or voltage regulator.
Supported battery types:
The Autool BT460 is compatible with a wide range of 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries.
- AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat): Support for both flat plate and spiral AGM batteries.
- EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery): Suitable for batteries used in vehicles with start-stop systems.
- GEL: Compatible with batteries that use a gel electrolyte.
- Standard lead-acid (Flooded): For conventional wet cell batteries.
Supported battery standards:
The tester supports measurements according to the following international battery standards:
- CCA: Cold Cranking Amps (30-2000A)
- DIN: Deutsches Institut für Normung (30-2500A)
- EN: European Norm (30-3000A)
- GB: Chinese National Standard (30-300Ah)
- IEC: International Electrotechnical Commission (30-2500A)
- JIS: Japanese Industrial Standard (26A17-N135)
Vehicle compatibility:
The BT460 is suitable for testing battery systems in various vehicle categories.
- Passenger cars and vans: Compatible with 12V systems.
- Motorcycles: Supports testing of 12V batteries.
- Trucks and heavy equipment: Suitable for 24V systems.
