FCA 12+8-pins SGW – 16-pins OBD2 Adapter Cable | Passenger car
The FCA 12+8-pin to 16-pin OBD2 Adapter Cable is designed for vehicles from the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) group equipped with a Security Gateway Module (SGW). This cable serves as a physical bypass of the SGW module, allowing a standard 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic device to be connected for extensive diagnostic purposes. The adapter connects the 12-pin and 8-pin connectors of the SGW with a female 16-pin OBD2 connector.
By using this cable, the communication block of the SGW is bypassed. This makes it possible to gain full access to all vehicle modules with diagnostic equipment. This enables advanced functions such as reading and clearing all fault codes, performing service functions, and making adjustments normally restricted by the SGW.
Application and functionality:
This Adapter Cable is developed to give diagnostic equipment direct access to the internal systems of FCA vehicles by bypassing the SGW module.
