The OBDSTAR M062 is an adapter cable for the 4-pin diagnostic connector found on Suzuki outboard motors. The vehicle end features the manufacturer-specific 4-pin connector, whilst the device end has a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) socket.
Suzuki equips its outboard motors with a proprietary 4-pin connector instead of the standard OBD2 port. The cable translates that pin configuration to the corresponding pins of the J1962 interface and supports the K-line communication protocols commonly used in these engines. The design is compact with a fixed cable length, which suits the limited space in a marine engine compartment. Through this connection, the diagnostic device communicates with the outboard motor ECU.
