The OBDSTAR EM001 is an adapter cable that converts the 5-pin OBD connector of NIU mopeds to a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector. The cable is designed for diagnostics on NIU electric two-wheelers, including the U-series and M-series. By converting to a common OBD2 port, the cable can be used with diagnostic equipment equipped with a standard J1962 connector.
During use, the 5-pin side is connected to the diagnostic port of the NIU moped and the 16-pin side to the diagnostic device or an intermediate RS232/RS485 converter. The cable supports direct connection to the battery diagnostic port and the vehicle diagnostic port, allowing BMS data to be read and special functions to be performed via the vehicle’s diagnostic socket.
