The OBDSTAR M013 connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector from Lifan and Suzuki to the 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-port of your OBDSTAR diagnostic equipment. The 4-pin side plugs into the manufacturer's diagnostic socket in the motorcycle circuit.
Motorcycles with this connector do not have an OBD2 port fitted, so a diagnostic scanner cannot connect without an adapter cable. The diagnostic communication operates over the K-line. The pin configuration of this cable follows the signal pins of the Lifan- and Suzuki-diagnostic lines, ensuring communication passes through unchanged and requiring no modifications to the vehicle wiring. The cable provides access to the vehicle systems behind that diagnostic connector. Which systems and functions you can actually retrieve depends on the software support of your own device for the specific model.
