The Jaltest (29051) CV update license is a software extension for a period of one year, specifically designed for the diagnosis of commercial vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses, and light commercial vehicles. This license ensures that the diagnostic tool retains access to the most recent system updates, new vehicle models, and extensive technical information, which is essential for accurate and efficient workshop operations.

After placing the order, the license activation is automatically and digitally processed within 24 hours. An active license is a requirement to install new software versions and to fully utilize the diagnostic functionality. When the license expires, the basic diagnostic functions remain available. However, access to new system updates, technical information, and the ETM (Electronic Test Module) will cease, although the expert mode for advanced operations remains active.

💡 Tip: This update is carried out entirely remotely. A requirement is that the Jaltest diagnostic tool is registered with AsTools. Without this connection, the update cannot be processed.

How does it work in practice?

Activating the software extension is a simple and digital process. Follow the steps below to renew your license.

1. Place the order for the Jaltest update license via the webshop.
2. Enter the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface in the remarks field during checkout.
3. Check whether your Jaltest Link is registered with AsTools. If this is not the case, we cannot perform the update. In that case, you can fill in the Jaltest distributor change form and send it to us so that we can complete the registration.
4. After receiving the order and the correct serial number, the license will be automatically activated within 24 hours.
5. You will receive a confirmation once the processing is complete. After this, you can update the Jaltest software on your computer to the latest version.

Serial number information

For activation, the serial number of your Jaltest Link interface is required. This number, which usually consists of 9 characters, is crucial for correct processing. Make sure to enter this number in the remarks field when completing your order.

• Settings menu: In the Jaltest software under the menu for settings or device information.
