The Jaltest software activation (29469) is a one-time action that is valid for life. This activation permanently links the selected module to your Jaltest Link V9 interface. After activation, the module remains visible in the software, but it is not transferable to another interface. The activation itself does not provide usage capabilities, but forms the basis to link the module to the interface, so it can be used later with a valid license.
A software license is required to keep the activated software operational. This license provides access to updates, new features, current vehicle coverage, and technical support. Without a valid license, the module remains visible in the software, but the software cannot be used. Software activation usually takes 24 to 48 hours and is automatically performed after ordering.
Applications and functionalities:
This software activation forms the foundation for using specific Jaltest software modules. Without activation, the functionalities of the module are not accessible.
- Software unlocking: Enables the use of the specific Jaltest software module(s) with your interface.
- Permanent linking: Ensures a lasting connection between the activated module and the Jaltest Link V9 interface.
- Basis for licenses: Creates the technical condition after which a valid license makes the software functional.

License information:
For the correct activation of your Jaltest software, the serial number of your Jaltest Link V9 interface is required. Please enter this serial number in the comments field during the ordering process.
- Jaltest Link (interface): sticker with “SN:” on the back or underside of the unit.
- Jaltest software: via Configuration → Hardware/Link → Information (serial number of the interface).
- Packaging box: sticker on the original product packaging.
