The Jaltest (74502002) | Marine (Vessel) software activation is a one-time activation that links the Marine Vessel module permanently to the Jaltest Link V9 interface. After activation, the module remains permanently visible in the software and is non-transferable to another interface. The activation itself does not directly provide usage capabilities but forms the basis for adding the Marine Vessel module to your existing Jaltest configuration.

To keep the software operational and actually use it, a valid software license is required. This license grants access to software updates, the most current vehicle and engine coverage, additional features, and technical support. Without a license, the Marine Vessel module remains visible in the software but cannot be used for diagnostic or maintenance functions. The software activation usually takes 24 to 48 hours and is processed automatically after ordering.

Applications and functionalities:

With the Jaltest Marine (Vessel) module, combined with a valid license, the user has extensive diagnostic and maintenance functions for ship engines and marine drive systems.

  • Read and clear fault codes: read and clear DTCs in ship and outboard engines.
  • Live data and parameters: real-time reading and analysis of engine data such as RPM, temperature, and oil pressure.
  • Actuator tests: perform tests on components and systems to verify functions.
  • Maintenance resets and calibrations: reset maintenance intervals and perform calibrations for injectors and electronic controls.
  • Technical information: access to diagrams, manuals, and marine maintenance information.

Note: to use the software, a software license is also required (sold separately).

License information:

For the activation of the Jaltest Marine (Vessel) software module, the serial number (SN) of the Jaltest Link V9 interface is necessary. This number must be provided in the comments field when ordering.

  • Jaltest Link (interface): sticker with “SN:” on the back or underside of the unit.
  • Jaltest software: via Configuration → Hardware/Link → Information.
  • Packaging box: sticker with serial number on the original product packaging.
