This software extension has a validity period of one year and activation is automatically and digitally processed within 24 hours after ordering. After the license expires, the basic diagnostic functions remain available. However, access to new system updates, technical information, and the Electronic Test Module (ETM) will cease. The expert mode remains active. A stable internet connection is required to receive software updates.

💡 Tip: The license activation is carried out entirely remotely. It is a requirement that your Jaltest-Link reader device is registered with AsTools. Without this link, the update cannot be processed.

How does it work in practice?

The process for the software extension is simple and fully digital. Follow the steps below to activate your license.

1. Place your order for the Jaltest license activation via the webshop.
2. During checkout, enter the serial number of your Jaltest V9 Link interface in the remarks field.
3. We verify that your reader device is correctly registered in our AsTools platform. Proper registration is necessary to perform the update.
4. If your device is not registered with us, you must complete and send the Jaltest distributor change form. We will then add your device to our platform.
5. After verification, the license will be automatically activated on your serial number within 24 hours.
6. Once you start your Jaltest software with an active internet connection, the update will be automatically detected and you can install the new version.

Serial number information

To successfully activate the license, the correct serial number of your Jaltest V9 Link interface is required. This number consists of 9 characters.

You must enter this serial number in the remarks field during the ordering process. The number can be found in one of the following locations:

• Interface: On the sticker on the back of your Jaltest V9 Link reader device.
• Settings menu: In the Jaltest software, under the menu Settings or Info.
• Packaging box: On the original packaging of the product.
