The Cojali 2260110 is a spiral adapter with a 15-pin connector (ISO 12098) on one end and two 7-pin plugs (male) on the other: a Type S (ISO 3731, white) and a Type N (ISO 1185, black). Cojali intends it for the tractor side with 7S/7N connections.

In the Cojali catalogue, the adapter is listed as an optional cable for the Jaltest PTE, the testing device for power and signals between tractor and trailer. For the British market, it is required according to that catalogue.

POINTS OF ATTENTION

✕Pins 13, 14 and 15 of the 15-pin plug are not connected through.
✕Cojali does not state a length; it is an adapter, not a complete spiral cable between tractor and trailer.
✕Only for 24V systems; the adapter is not intended for 12V trailers.

Applications and functionality

The adapter connects the 7-pin 24N and 24S connections of a tractor to a 15-pin connection, for example when testing with the Jaltest PTE.

What the cable connects

  • 15-pin to 24N: Pins 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10.
  • 15-pin to 24S: Pins 3, 4, 8, 9, 11 and 12.
  • Pin 9 to 24S: On pin 2 and pin 4.
  • Earth: Pin 4 to pin 1 of both plugs.
  • Not connected: Pins 13, 14 and 15.

  • Converting: 7S/7N from the tractor to 15-pin.

How to use it

  1. Check the plugs: Make sure the pins are clean and straight.
  2. Connecting Type N: Insert the black plug into the 24N of the tractor.
  3. Connecting Type S: Insert the white plug into the 24S of the tractor.
  4. Connecting the 15-pin: Connect the 15-pin side to the PTE cable.
  5. Checking functions: Switch on the functions and read the LEDs.

Compatible vehicles and applications

The deciding factor is the tractor with 7-pin Type N and Type S. The adapter converts those connections to ISO 12098.

  • Tractors with 24N and 24S connection: According to ISO 1185 and ISO 3731.

Good to know: The Type N plug is black, the Type S plug is white. If the tractor only has a 15-pin socket, you do not need this adapter.
