The update license for the OBDSTAR MS80 Basic is a software subscription with a duration of 1 year. This license grants access to the latest updates, providing the device with new vehicle models, expanded diagnostic functions, and general software improvements.
An active license ensures that the device continuously receives the newest software updates and retains access to all online features. After the subscription period expires, the device will continue to operate based on the last installed software, but it will no longer be possible to download new updates. Activation of the update license is usually processed within 24 hours after ordering.

For activation of the update license, the serial number (14 characters) of your OBDSTAR device is required. This number must be entered in the comments field during checkout. The serial number can be found in the following locations:
- Device: On the back of the OBDSTAR MS80 Basic.
- Settings menu: In the system menu under the 'About' or 'Info' option.
- Packaging box: On the original box in which the device was delivered.
