After the update period expires, the reading device will continue to operate with the last installed software version but will no longer receive new updates.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the software extension follows a simple step-by-step plan:
- Order the software extension and enter the serial number of your device in the remarks field during checkout.
- You will receive the digital extension code within 24 hours by email or WhatsApp.
- On your Topdon reading device, go to the menu for software updates or license management.
- Enter the received code to activate the license. Your device will then immediately have an additional year of software updates.
Serial number information
The correct serial number is necessary for activating the software. This number, which usually consists of 12 characters, must be entered during the ordering process in the designated remarks field. You can find the serial number in the following locations:
- Settings menu: Navigate in the main menu of the device to 'Settings' and then to 'About' or 'Info' to see the serial number.
- Back of the device: In many cases, the serial number is on a sticker on the back of the ArtiDiag Pro.
- Original packaging: The serial number is also often found on a sticker on the original box of the product.
