The Universal SID212 DTC remover is a specialized diagnostic tool designed for professional mechanics and diagnostic technicians. This plug-and-play device enables users to quickly and efficiently clear stored fault codes from electronic vehicle systems, specifically for vehicles compliant with the Euro 6 emission standard. It provides a direct solution to address engine management faults, allowing a vehicle to be safely and controlledly moved to a workshop after a fault.
Once the module is connected to the OBD port, it immediately establishes communication with the SID212 ECU via the CAN bus network. The device reads the stored fault data in the onboard computer's memory and then sends a digital reset command to clear historical fault codes, such as those from the NOx sensor. This data correction can temporarily lift an active limp mode and reset the power or speed limitation. Permanent fault codes, however, require a physical repair, after which the ECU will release the fault code itself following a verification cycle.
