The Can-Bus Emulator 8 in 1 DTC Eraser DTC remover is a diagnostic tool designed for professional mechanics and roadside assistance services working with heavy commercial vehicles. This device is specifically developed to clear inactive and historical fault codes (DTCs) from the engine management system of Trucks compliant with Euro 6 and Euro 6.2 emission standards. It enables technicians to efficiently clear dashboard warnings and fault codes related to emission and engine faults directly via the OBD port. This is essential after performing repairs on the exhaust aftertreatment system or to safely move a vehicle in limpmode to a secure location or workshop without unnecessary downtime.

Technically, the module communicates via the OBD connector directly with the ECU through the vehicle’s CAN network. By setting the physical switch on the device to the correct protocol for the specific Truck brand, the device overwrites and clears the fault memory within about one minute. This successfully resets historical fault codes, including specific messages from NOx sensors and EAS systems, temporarily lifting power or speed restrictions. It is important to note that for permanent fault codes, the underlying physical hardware fault must be repaired; the ECU will re-register an emission fault during a driving cycle if the actual defect in sensors or components is not fixed.

Good to know: Clearing fault codes temporarily cancels limp mode. For permanent fault codes in the emission system, the fault and limp mode will return as soon as the ECU detects the defective hardware component again.
