The OTOFIX D1 Pro S update licence extends your right to software updates for the D1 Pro S by 1 year. The D1 Pro S runs on Android 11 and communicates with the vehicle via the V1 interface. The device is designed for OE-level diagnostics on all systems, with active tests and an extensive set of service functions, including for air suspension, injectors and the throttle valve.
After ordering, we pass the serial number of your D1 Pro S on to OTOFIX. The extension is usually active within 1 working day, and the new versions appear in the update menu. Updating for 1 year keeps vehicle coverage and service functions in line with new models. If the licence expires, the device still does everything it does now, but remains on the current version.

What an extension gives you
- Vehicles: The D1 Pro S recognises cars that have come onto the market since your last update and reads all systems on them.
- Workshop procedures: Oil service, parking brake, brake bleeding, steering angle sensor, diesel particulate filter and EGR continue to connect to newer systems.
- Volkswagen and Audi: Guided functions, online IMMO and updates to hidden functions receive the latest changes.
What happens without an extension
- Frozen version: The software remains at the state it had on the end date.
- Newer cars: Models released after that are not recognised, or only partially recognised.
- What you already had: Reading, clearing, live data and active tests on the known vehicles remain available.

How does it work in practice?
The whole process consists of four steps. Allow for download time if the device has not been updated for a long time.
- Providing the serial number: Include the serial number of the D1 Pro S with your order.
- Activation: We register the serial number with OTOFIX, usually within 1 working day.
- Preparing the device: Connect the D1 Pro S to the charger and to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Installing updates: Open the update menu, select the new versions and start the installation.
