OBDSTAR P50 | Update License
The OBDSTAR update license is developed for the P50 device. This license has a duration of 1 year and gives the user access to the most recent software, updates, and extensive vehicle models. This includes new diagnostic functions and software improvements for the airbag reset functionality.
An active license ensures that the OBDSTAR P50 device can communicate with the latest vehicles and uses the latest technical specifications. After the update license expires, the device continues to operate with the last installed software but no longer receives updates for new vehicle models or improved functionality. The activation of the license is processed within 24 hours after ordering.
Applications and functionalities:
An active update license provides access to the following functionalities and software improvements:
- Extended vehicle coverage: Access to the latest database with supported vehicle models for airbag reset.
- Software improvements: Installation of the latest software versions with performance enhancements and bug fixes.
- New features: Access to new diagnostic capabilities and reset procedures being added.
- Reading and clearing fault codes: Support for reading and clearing fault codes (DTCs) in the latest airbag modules.

Serial number information:
To activate the license, the device's serial number is required. This number must be entered in the comments field when completing the order. The serial number (consisting of 14 characters) can be found in the following locations:
- Device: On the sticker on the back of the device.
- Settings menu: In the 'About' or 'Over' section within the software menu.
- Packaging box: On the original packaging of the device.
